| Taylorville, May 25 Charles Schwartz, 58, died at 5:30 p. m. today at his home in Tovey after an extended illness. Decedent is survived by his wife, Martha; two children, Mrs. Mary Thomas of Springfield, and Roy of St. Louis; one sister, Mrs. Nora Williams, Rolla, Mo.; one brother, Clarence, Waynesville. He was a member of the Woodman lodge and of the P.M.W.A. (Progressive Mine Workers of America) Remains were removed to the Masterson funeral home. Pall bearers at his funeral were: Gerald Bowlin, Harold Haas and Bud Hale. (NOTE: The above should read "his wife, Myrtle")
