This List is an effort to create a directory of links to Local Areas for small towns, villages and small cities
that provide History and Genealogy in a more localized format than that of the county and state sized websites.
The websites for larger areas tend to focus on the county seats and the larger metropolitan cities. Communities that are small in size are largely overlooked. There is a vast and vital part of United States History in the rural areas. Local websites do not appear to be very common, or at least not easily located.
